PROJECT CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
The ability to start construction on the 1st phase elements of the Squamish Oceanfront depends on completion of the following key steps:
• Completion and Approval of the Oceanfront Sub Area Plan
• Securing environmental approvals for the Oceanfront Park
• Securing the necessary rezoning for the 1st phase elements
• Securing any required financing
The SODC hopes to be in a position to have completed these steps to allow for the following construction commencement schedule. The goal is to create community amenities and benefits as the first initiative at the Squamish Oceanfront:
1. SODC Marketing and Discovery Centre: Winter 2011
2. Knowledge Based Industry Centre: Winter 2011
3. Oceanfront Park: Summer/Fall 2011

A draft of the Squamish Oceanfront Peninsula Sub Area Plan is now available to the community through the District of Squamish. A link to the document can be found on the SODC website at www.squamishoceanfront.com.
