The Rezoning Application has been submitted to the District of Squamish. This application builds on the land use framework of the Oceanfront Sub Area within the Official Community Plan. Rezoning takes a specific land use and applies it to a certain area.

Rezoning Application Submitted

SODC has submitted a Rezoning Application to the District of Squamish. The Rezoning Application builds on the land use framework of the Oceanfront Sub Area within the Official Community Plan. Rezoning takes a specific land use and applies it to a certain area. Currently, the SODC lands are zoned for industrial use. The SODC is applying for Comprehensive Development Zoning as shown in the proposed plan. This is consistent with the overall SODC plan and includes residential, commercial, recreational, educational and park use.

The next step in the process is the public information session on September 22, followed by 1st and 2nd reading and adoption by Squamish Council.
