Circulation Plan
The plan provides for the efficient movement of vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians on the site. There is an emphasis in providing extensive transit, pedestrian and cycling systems in order to reduce the need and requirement for private vehicles.
To encourage continued revitalization of Downtown Squamish, the main vehicular entry to the Squamish Oceanfront will be at the south end of Cleveland Avenue. A secondary ingress/egress route will be required in the future and is planned to cross Catermole Slough and connect to Third Avenue. This will maintain smooth flows at the head of the peninsula and provide an alternate route for commercial traffic.
Road designs emphasize safe, separated pedestrian and cycling lanes in addition to the extensive trail network on the peninsula.
