Parking

 

Constraints associated with the site’s geology along with the desired land uses on the site will require a creative approach to parking on the Squamish Oceanfront. It will be important to have easy access and convenient public surface parking close to Oceanfront Village and Oceanfront Park, given these will be core community amenities that all residents will need reasonable access to.

Street parking is also planned to be maximized; however, it should not compromise the pedestrian, bicycle or vehicle circulation experience. Off-street parking spaces for buildings will require underground parking. However, it may also be necessary to allow for some surface parking for buildings and other land uses.
